Overall it's good but I expect more, there are some downsides.
a rather average camera, but for amateur photos it is suitable . golden mode for shooting in normal lighting (in low light unreasonably overestimates ISO) perhaps not bad there is a scene mode handheld night shooting, also not bad (but it gives off blue) there are manual modes where you can change, for example, shutter speed and ISO (may be useful for filming drunken parties where everything is in motion) in general, the DSC-HX50 is not whimsical, but you should not expect a miracle from it here is a photo, without flash, average lighting, ISO 400, distance to the bend of the newspaper (pictured) 1 meter, you can see it in 100% scale . - compactness, Zoom optical 30x, charging regularly enough for 400 or more shots
- the matrix is of course small, in pictures at a scale of 100%, noise is visible at almost all ISOs
