My daughter is quite thin and long and fits perfectly in a large diaper. Small pink rings remain on her legs but I understand they need to be tighter to keep BM swimming. Put it on just before entering the water and turn it off as soon as you get your baby out. It doesn't absorb urine, it just prevents the water from becoming contaminated with BM. She never had it in her but I would never want her to swim without it!
