Overview bag/laptop bag I was looking for a laptop bag that could replace a backpack as well as a bag for everyday work and travel. As a C-level leader, I just felt that wearing both didn't help me streamline my life. This nylon laptop bag/purse is perfect for me. I've been using it for about a month and I'm very impressed with the capacity, sleek design and security of my content. The criteria for my bag were a padded compartment for an ultra-thin 11.5 x 9 laptop, plus exterior pockets for ID, security keys, a wallet, and a large-screen cellphone. Then I also wanted compartments inside so the contents don't get mixed up in a big pile. I read everything and I mean ALL the reviews about this bag before I bought it and both positive and negative reviews helped me to choose this bag. One review mentioned the ability to carry a legal handgun and I realized I can sometimes have that problem. Another review mentioned nylon zippers instead of metal ones (this person didn't like it, but I thought it would be nice to close/open quietly in meetings). The waterproof nylon exterior won't scratch or deteriorate from my keys, my acrylic nails, or being dumped on the floor of my SUV every day. I bought the navy blue and love that it looks professional without being boring black. The metal zippers and connecting rings on the handles are hematite in color and look classy, not cheap like chrome. One of my absolute requests was a shoulder strap to keep my hands free when traveling and I love that the strap is adjustable and made from durable harness material. Confident about traveling alone, I am planning to take this bag abroad because one reviewer mentioned that he took it to an area of Paris known for pickpockets and had no problems as it always came out with loose hands her body was. A few nice touches for me: there's enough room in the bag to take a couple of ring binders home from work, or a triple ring binder, and the lid still closes fully. I can either carry a 16.9 ounce water bottle in a dedicated bottle holder (keep it upright) or my new favorite stainless steel water bottle that fits perfectly. My 9" x 6 ½" tablet (for reading) fits in either an external zippered or velcro pocket (they aren't soft, so don't freak out). My chargers are easy to find, as are pens, business cards, toiletries, Advil or hand sanitizer inside thanks to compartments and inner zip pockets. If you're looking for a versatile "MacGyver style" bag to carry your gear while still looking polished and put together for work, then this is the bag for you.
