The reviews I read before ordering say the blender really isn't slow. I should have listened. I decided to whip up a batch of cookies instead of using my good mixer, thought I'd try my new hand mixer. In a large bowl was a pack of butter and a cup of sugar. I turned the mixer knob to the lowest speed, TaDa, instantaneously butter and sugar flew through the clean kitchen, onto the windows, walls, counter, cabinets and also onto me. I really felt like I was in a new version of an old Lucille Ball episode. Luckily, the blender comes in a nice plastic case that not only fits the blender but also the blades. At least as long as it doesn't get used for the next ten years before I throw it away, it will look good. Moral of the story, trust the reviews. What a waste of money.
