So it's not really what this case is for, it's a sea of expensive marker storage cases that don't typically come with a full set of Chameleon pens (8.5 inches long) fits !) Well anyway I think this little thing does a great job. and you can't complain about the price. This is very important to me because I've always looked for something that can actually hold these things, and that wasn't the case with the manufacturer that a lot of people were complaining about (and expensive too). So if you're a little crazy like me, we have good news for you! The inner pockets are great for storing colored spare caps or smaller pens, while the button pocket is handy for storing small pouches of spare nibs. It's a little on the flexible side, and when you roll up the sides to make yourself a bucket of markers while you paint (which is what I was looking for), the markers move around a little because they're heavy, but that's not a deal breaker . I'm thinking of making a small cardboard cut out to sit on the bottom for some extra structure to see if that helps. I should add that this would probably be MUCH more flexible if you didn't have a full set of markers to fill the space. The drawstring closure keeps them decent enough, although it doesn't close completely. . If you store them on their side it should be fine, just make sure the rope is taut. The only thing I can't be sure about is durability, but then again, this case is designed for lighter items, not chunky markers. I'm not picky about my stuff, especially expensive artworks, and if I was traveling the bag would be in a separate backpack so I'm sure it will last me a long time. I really need the PVC pouch that comes with it, but it would help if I actually bought a makeup pouch haha. For less than $10 it does what I need and saves me from having to do things myself.
