THIS ITEM DESTROYED MY HARD DISK DO NOT BUY! I got this device specifically for cloning my hard drive from my computer to my new laptop's hard drive. Both are 500GB hard drives and all the specs are pretty much the same. After 3 separate attempts, this clone dock got stuck at 50% and stopped working. It worked for me for more than 24 hours, then it stopped working. Tried another hard drive, same problem. When I decided to put the hard drive back into the computer, it turned out to be invincible and unusable, so this cloner DESTROYED my hard drive. This is the main reason I bought this product instead of a regular dock, so I spent extra money on a feature that doesn't work. The only reason I won't be returning is that it still works as a dock. I am very disappointed in this product and bought it based on the good reviews but they seem to have been deceived. I will never buy from this company again and would suggest buying elsewhere unless you require a backlit dock.
