Great subwoofer for the money. For the people who gave this subwoofer a bad review, it's probably because they don't understand home audio. I'll give you 3 tips to make this subwoofer sound great. 1 Take the speaker out of the packaging and fill the packaging with fiberfill. Don't overstuff the box and make sure you line it up loosely. You can get the bag at any WalMart for about $3. Step 2. This is a floor blown subwoofer. So to place it on the carpet you need to cut a piece of wood and put it under the subwoofer, otherwise the carpet will absorb the sound and it won't sound that good, so I think some people left bad reviews about this sub. Step 3 Make sure the subwoofer is in the corner. You can do this with any down-firing subwoofer to enhance the sound. Please see the attached photo and take a look at the wood I placed under the subwoofer. I painted mine black so you don't notice it that much. I hope this helps some of you who are thinking about buying this sub. This is a great subwoofer for the money, you just need to know what you are doing to get the right sound including any down-firing subwoofers.
