Review on Milwaukee 6117 30 5 Inch Grinder Paddle by Charlie Wilson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Powerful but unreliable

I bought this grinder just over a year ago and it came right out of the factory box, toasted. The gears were disassembled and the motor was defective. I sent it back to Milwaukee under warranty and they replaced it with a working one within a week. After getting it back it worked great, it's a very powerful little grinder. Does the same job as a 6 or 7 inch grinder but I think it's too powerful for itself, the gearbox heats up very quickly. The Bulgarian only endured about 7 months of hard labor in the welding shop before she died. This was my first time owning a Milwaukee, I've always heard good things about this brand but based on my experience with this one I would never buy one again. I currently choose Makita.
