I pushed the buttons underwater so you don't have to

This is an amazing watch! It does everything I want it to, except you can't press any buttons underwater. At least that's what the company says. But I really wanted to be able to push buttons underwater (to count laps) so I decided to give it a try anyway and see what happens. Guess what? The company was right: don't press the buttons underwater! The watch was fine at first, and pressing the circle button (the big one in the middle) underwater worked just fine. However, after a couple of clicks, the button stopped working - nothing happened when pressed. When I took the watch out of the water the button worked again. After that I tried a couple of times to press the button underwater but again it didn't work. At this point I decided to stop testing. The clock looked ok. Fast forward two days and the dial suddenly started to cloud over as if there was water stuck underneath (see photo). I opened the case and there was condensation there, but at the bottom inside the watch, next to the pusher, there was also water damage: it was rusty. Yip! I cleaned and air dried the watch until it got better and then reassembled it. That was two days ago and I haven't had any further problems. I don't intend to press the button underwater anymore and I encourage you to do the same. It will ruin your watch. 😁This is a very good watch, light and easy to read. I hope I didn't damage it too much as I will be using it for a few years!
