I bought these shoes because after hours of research I bought a Zealot ISO a few years ago and it was the best shoe ever I have ever owned. A big part of what made it great for me was that it had the stability features I needed due to foot problems and other issues with my knees. I was dying to buy another pair just like the ones I had but they were no longer available so I took a chance on an 'upgrade' and was very (literally) disappointed. I immediately noticed that they didn't look like my real zealots at all, but I decided this was only because they were 'new' and my old ones were quite worn (although I do remember the moment I put the originals on - It was like angels descending from heaven to kiss my feet!) However, after a week of wearing the ISO2, I started having terrible pain in my right ankle and not connecting it to the shoes , until a friend asked me when I had a limp if I had recently bought new shoes. I then compared the two shoes visually in terms of construction and found that the new version didn't have the stabilizing qualities of the original - this one had a different insole shape and size, and they actually appear to be more stable. cheaply made, although of course the price hasn't come down. I went back to my old Zealots for a few weeks and the ankle problem seemed much better but when I tried the new ones again for a few days the ankle pain was back to full force. These shoe racks just aren't the same as the original ISOs and so I can't rely on them to provide the support I need. I wish to God that the shoe manufacturers would keep their hands off it instead of redesigning their shoes every year. I think they do this on purpose so we have to buy 3 or 4 pairs before we find the right one again. I've been wearing Saucony for years now but I'm tired of it.
