I'm a locksmith by trade so I had to cut 1 wire when I found out. (Passenger side pink wire) I was a little concerned. I spoke to an electrician at work. He said that because the wire is so thin, the best way to remove the coating after I cut it is to use a match to set the coating on fire. worked great. When I press the lock button on my remote three times, it takes about 10 seconds to boot up. So happy with this product. I had a question about the installation, so I contacted Start X via email. They came back to me quickly. Good product. great customer service.
