Fantastic center channel

Klipsch have discontinued this model and are making it a really good deal. It is significantly better in construction and sound quality than the current RW-34C; It's a lot lower, though: 13.5 inches versus 6.2 inches, and slightly taller: 5.7 inches versus 5.2 inches. Both are 26 inches long. The reference Premier line is clearly more premium in everything from speakers to cabinet construction and looks. One very nice feature that the new reference line lacks is the ability to set speaker position information via a button on the back. .The reference line does not allow pre-assignment of its position. In practice this means that SoundSend guesses its position and often places more than one speaker in the same spot. There are two technical issues and possibly others that make this problematic for the newer reference series. If If you go to the speaker tone in the app to see which speaker is in which position, the Klipsch speakers will not sound unless they are connected to an audio source (which you must turn off with the master volume) while ringing like call them to get the audio and determine the location of the speaker. Then use the app to drag the last adjusted speaker (it will show you two, like L1 and L2) to the right place. I've found that the reference line can sometimes lose its position, especially when power is removed. The latest version of the SoundSend software (1.2) helped, but Klipsch slightly misconfigured their speakers (according to CS in SoundSend) as another speaker I tried (Platinum Monaco) didn't find these issues. The sound of this speaker is very clear, crisp and smooth. Because I use a subwoofer I can't take advantage of its low frequencies, but the music was rich and full with very good presence. The dialogue was clear and easy to hear and understand, not muddled or muffled like some speakers tend to do. This also applied at lower volumes. I highly recommend!
