Review on AnzoUSA 111184 Black Projector Halo Headlight for Ford F-150/F-250/Bronco - Side Marker & Parking Light (Sold in Pairs) by Justin Butler

Revainrating 3 out of 5

These are projectors in lighting assemblies and accessories

Pros: - Low beam projector lenses - LEDs and halo glow with running lights - Essentially plug and play Cons: - Impossible to aim - Leaves a small gap between the underside of the headlight and the top of the floor panel - HID bulbs are not suitable for high beam. I got these headlights for my 94 F-350 so I can use the HID headlights without blinding everyone behind me. Can't comment on the halogen bulbs that came in the low beam as I immediately replaced them with an HID kit. While H7 bulbs are great for low beam, H1 bulbs, which are meant to match high beam, don't go through the socket. So when I turn on the high beam, my light gets dimmer. The stock turn signal bulb is reused in these cases and since I didn't want the halo and other LED parts of these lights to glow white I put switchable LED bulbs in there. Now there's just the occasional orange reflector required for street use. Now for aiming. In theory, you could take a flathead screwdriver or aiming tool, stick it in the slot, and aim the headlights easily and straightforwardly. Unfortunately I couldn't get this to work. So I had to take them out, turn the knob, and put them back in every time I needed to adjust them. After trying to control the left headlight for about 45 minutes, I gave up because it didn't even move and called it good enough. Now, after a few weeks and a few hundred miles, it's moved about to where I originally wanted it to be, way too high. So they obviously need some time to adjust. It's much easier to aim with stock headlights. One of the nice things about these headlights is that they come with wires that simply plug into any stock connectors. can not fit and HID bulbs in high beam. Since I haven't tested other projector lights for these trucks, I can't say if this is the best or worst. All I can say is that while they have their quirks, they work reasonably well.
