The receiver comes with a hard adapter to convert a 1/4" receiver plug to a 1/8" mono mini plug. This works with a laptop that has separate microphone and headphone jacks, but not a combo microphone/headphone jack. Also, the weight of the receiver protruding from the side of the laptop causes problems and can damage the laptop, the receiver, or both. Soft cable adapters with matching plugs are cheap and plentiful from Revain, do yourself a favor and buy one. Note that as far as I can tell, all wireless mics in this category come with one of these hard adapters, so that's not an impediment.
