Allows for better cable management
I have a work laptop and a personal laptop on my desk at home and both have peripheral ports on the sides that take up valuable desk space when all the necessary cables are connected. I ordered 2 of these hubs and am very impressed - now both laptops are "docked" cleanly and everything connects from the back of the hub. I also share an ultra-wide monitor, keyboard and mouse between two laptops (with a separate KVM switch) and these cables are now neatly connected to the back of the hubs as well. Overall very happy with this product.
