I don't know why the reviews about it are so negative. We use it for IFTA and IRP mileage registration. Over 1000 miles the odometer was only 1 mile. The GPS even logs all major driving routes between stops for your trip logs which can be uploaded to an excel spreadsheet each day, week, month and year, saving you a long time as far as I can tell. We upload them weekly just in case. That alone costs $500. You can easily check the "truck" odometer at the beginning of each trip. It's also great for routing around restricted bridges and roads. The DVR is excellent, HD and you can always hit the record button to save 2-3 minutes before and after so nothing gets overwritten - let's say the car shakes and isn't paying attention, we're picking it up so we have to later crash with us. The only thing I wish is that all excel data for fuel purchases go straight into the mileage spreadsheet. It saves it in the GPS but I haven't figured out how to export it to an excel file. It exports the total gallons and price paid, but not location or odometer.
