My first vacuum sealer seems to be working fine, but it might take a little practice. The instructions weren't immediately clear to me as a beginner - the bag roll isn't sealed on both ends so you have to cut off the required amount and seal one end before putting the food in, which was easy (and I love that so I can make a bag make in different sizes). Make sure you have more than 1 inch on each end to caulk. However, my attempt to seal some salmon has had only moderate success so far. It sucked out a lot of air, but it's definitely still in there, especially at the thicker end. Maybe user error on my part. I look forward to continuing to use it and hopefully improving my technique!
