Review on Denso 234 9056 Fuel Ratio Sensor by Abdulkarim Sugge

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This sensor is an OEM sensor that will fix problems in the long term.

I bought this for my Prius as my check engine light was still on after replacing the catalytic converter (300,000 miles in the car). The dreaded P0420 (catalyst efficiency) showed up, so I did what I did last year to test and put in a new catalytic converter. The light went out for 20 minutes and then came back on. I suspected the A/F sensor was dead too, so I bought it and for the last 10,000 miles I've had no problems. Using a cheap sensor made sense the first time around as my car was burning oil at a frightening rate (a liter every 500 miles). A cheap sensor and a new cat got me through MOT, which gave me time to drive the car long enough (all of next year) to fix the oil check problems. Now with an OEM sensor and oil flow to spec (spec says max 1 liter per 1000 miles, mine is 0.4 liter per 1000 miles), the sensor will last a long time. My mileage has also increased a bit.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
