Fits 2009 Corolla Upstream

My daughter's 2009 Corolla had an onboard sensor error code. Installation required a thin wall O2 sensor socket. I bought this outlet from Revain and it worked fine: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005OH0ITM/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Installation was difficult and required a mug. I used a piece of black tubing to extend the stem for added leverage. Removing the old sensor was difficult due to the narrowness. When it was finally free, the installation went quickly. I particularly appreciated…

One of the diagnostic findings on my newly purchased 2008 Prius was that the air/fuel ratio sensor was not giving the correct reading for the engine. Around the same time I read somewhere that this sensor (sometimes) didn't work properly when bought from an aftermarket supplier. It was specific and vague enough that I decided to try one of those aftermarket sensors. Paid for installation and then had to buy a proper Denso unit AND pay to have a Denso unit installed to fix problems caused by a…

Fixed P0031 on 07 Prius

This is an OEM replacement for the front air/fuel sensor (similar to the oxygen sensor) on the 07 Prius. The exchange was a bit cumbersome as there are no instructions on the internet. Here's how I replaced it: 1. Remove the wiper assemblies (two 14mm nuts for the passenger side wiper and 1 14mm nut for the driver side wiper. 2. Remove the plastic wiper pan (two reusable Plastic rivets, one for passenger side and one for passenger side) one on driver side) 3. Remove wiper motor assembly (6…

This sensor is an OEM sensor that will fix problems in the long term.

I bought this for my Prius as my check engine light was still on after replacing the catalytic converter (300,000 miles in the car). The dreaded P0420 (catalyst efficiency) showed up, so I did what I did last year to test and put in a new catalytic converter. The light went out for 20 minutes and then came back on. I suspected the A/F sensor was dead too, so I bought it and for the last 10,000 miles I've had no problems. Using a cheap sensor made sense the first time around as my car was…

Get the right sensor socket! Otherwise, it's a simple OEM replacement.

This sensor has a 'ring' or 'collar' around it that requires a thin wall sensor socket. I used "CTA Tools 2064 Thin Wall Oxygen Sensor Socket" B005OH0ITM. It was still difficult to remove without moving the inverter. I was able to get it underneath after removing all the stuff in and around the hood wipers. I used a liquid key and started the car to warm up the manifold. It still took two people, one upstairs, the other downstairs, to get this sucker moving. Sensor is a trademark. It might even
