May come without threads/un-tapped.

The bung was what I needed and it was made of stainless as described and it did come with the correct plug. However the one shipped to me was not threaded at all. I did have a friend with the right tap to correct this issue however it was much more effort than was expected for this simple project. As far as the reviews that talk about the threads being 90 deg. to the mating surface I used a grinder with a new wheel to match the face of the bung after checking it to the sensor.

Pros
  • Took one of these and used it as a drain plug (with copper washer) on a transmission oil pan.
Cons
  • The fittings require a high level of maintenance to ensure they continue to function properly

Saved me from buying a new Catalytic Converter

While going to replace the rear most oxygen sensor on my old Subaru, When i went to take it out the the rust was more than i expected (around the threads in the sensor) and i ended up actually tearing the old original bung out of the Catalytic Converter. I bought this bung to replace the old one(which still have the old sensor stuck in it), welded it in and installed my new Oxygen Senor and all is well now.

Pros
  • Worked well I just welded it on my exhaust pipe
Cons
  • The bungs and plugs may not fit as tightly as desired, potentially causing leaks

Definitely NOT Stainless bung.

Bought these reading the info on the listing saying the bung was stainless and the cap not, but as you can see, not really 100% stainless. It definitely isnt mild, but its definitely ferrous.

Pros
  • Fantastic
Cons
  • The bungs and plugs may not be compatible with all types of welding materials

worked perfectly good for me

I only needed the plug, but the bung and plug were certainly good quality. I used the plug in a stainless steel exhaust system I purchased that had a bung welded in that I didn't need, The plug fitted perfectly and was equal in quality to the exhaust system I had purchased. PLUS I got it over night. TWOFER!

Pros
  • Worked great. Drilled new hole welded in place worked perfect. O2 sensor went right in.
Cons
  • The fittings may be overkill for smaller, less complex welding projects

Welded the bung onto a stainless VW header, and used the plug until my wideband setup arrived in the mail. The stepped design makes it a lot easier to weld (for an amateur like me, at least).

Pros
  • Great heat dissipation during welding.
Cons
  • The installation process can be time-consuming, taking away from other important tasks

Great fit. - my new review

Quick and easy. Should make my truck run that much better. Couldn't be easier to drill a hole and weld it in. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Fit as it should and easy to weld.
Cons
  • Absolute junk. Was machined improperly and the ID and OD holes are not concentric.

Not the best but… in my review

Hi,Not the best but they will work just make sure to use lots of good anti-seize. Yes Lots…These are definitely HD The fittings may not be perfect for high-pressure applications, potentially leading to leaks or failure.

Pros
  • Needed the bung side only and welded it in
Cons
  • The fittings may not be perfect for high-pressure applications, potentially leading to leaks or failure

It’s not as described! BEWARE

The product I ordered was supposed to be stepped (in diameter) to ease installation. The description said it was stepped, the images shown appeared to be stepped yet the product I received was not. This made installation difficult. I ordered one from a different supplier.

Pros
  • Great quality. Plugs seal up great!
Cons
  • The fittings have a limited temperature range, meaning they may not be suitable for high-temperature applications

Used for a transmission drain plug bung

Welded the bung on a 4l80E transmission pan and combined with a Stahlbus M18 drain valve to make fluid changes a piece of cake.

Pros
  • Great for a wide band
Cons
  • The product may not be widely available or easily accessible, making it difficult to find and purchase

Low Quality Chinese Junk

Very low quality. Typical Chinese junk! Glad they come 2 to a package and that I need only one because the threads are not square to the sealing surface making one unusable. Look for American made ones if you need them to finish your build.

Pros
  • Accurate description, quality and good value for the price.
Cons
  • Could use in least bit. Be sure to make all measurements your self don't trust them.

Great product at the right price

The bung was perfect. The step down section helped create a surface to weld against. The O2 sensor screwed right in. Overall a great product. I would recommend for anyone looking to buy it.

Pros
  • What's not to like. Very nicely machined and easy to weld up.
Cons
  • The product may not come with all necessary hardware for installation, requiring additional purchases

Does the trick on my review.

What's to say? Drill a 7/8" hole. Stepped bung drops right in. Weld it up. Install sensor. Threads were cut straight on mine.

Pros
  • Fit great and very easily welded
Cons
  • These fittings are difficult to install properly, requiring a high level of skill and experience

Plug is not stainless

Bung wil be fine, just hope when I put the sensor in at a later date I can get the plug out as it does not seem to be stainless. Taking it to a pro for TIG.

Pros
  • Installed a wideband to tune a power commander. It held great
Cons
  • The stainless steel material may not be suitable for certain corrosive environments

Wrong item in package

Ordered O2 sensor bung requested return for right part got same part again.spark plug wire loom. Package says O2 sensor weld bung again but nope not what is pictured

Pros
  • Nice machine work
Cons
  • The fittings are expensive compared to other options on the market

Great product! on my review.

Exactly what I expected. Great quality. Nice plugs. Welded in without issue on a new set of headers before dynoing an engine. Be sure to have a tap handy to run through the threads after welding.

Pros
  • Used these to weld into each bank for some widebands, worked well with no issues.
Cons
  • The stainless steel material may be incompatible with certain welding methods, limiting their use

O2 Bungs - set of four with plugs

Good price and plugs are included. Needed to finish stainless exhaust system. Just one problem, 1 of the 4 bungs were unthreaded and unusable.

Pros
  • Works well
Cons
  • The bungs and plugs may not fit properly on certain types of vehicles or equipment

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality O2 bung. on my review.

This is designed for a O2 sensor not as a drain plug. The threaded plug is used to keep bung from distorting during welding it in more so then a plug . any thing should have antiseize placed on threads before threading it into bung. I have use these bungs countless times on holley sniper fuel injection systems.

Pros
  • Welded superbly
Cons
  • The bungs and plugs may not be compatible with certain types of welding equipment

Revainrating 2 out of 5

machining tolerances are not the best

I threaded the plug in to the bung just to check the threads and fit. it was obvious something was skewed since the plugs mating surface had a gap at one side of the bung face. upon further inspection it proved the Threads are not 90* to the face , this could lead to an exhaust leak if your crush washer doesn't take up the gap so make sure you check/address before you weld or find another brand

Pros
  • As long as you know that, these are fine.
Cons
  • The bungs and plugs may not be appropriately sized for all types of welding projects

Revainrating 3 out of 5

cheap, ok quality. you get what you pay for

pros: cheap, o2 sensor thread in okcons: the plug does not really sit perfectly flat (check pics)hopefully it won’t leakif you want perfectly fitting o2 bungs get the more expensive ones. if a slight imperfection is ok then get these. I haven’t welded them in, so i will update this review once I do

Pros
  • I needed a bung welded into my car's exhaust header. This does the trick.
Cons
  • The fittings may be prone to damage during shipping or handling, requiring replacement before use

Happy we dug a little deeper

Important note, after being extremely frustrated at first it may be helpful for some green welders to know that this type of Steel is not-magnetic. Happy we dug a little deeper. Welded up great, and don't have to disgracefully delete a one star review ;)

Pros
  • Very easy to install
Cons
  • The fittings may require specialized tools for installation, increasing overall costs
