You get what you pay for. I've used it five or six times to pump water at water changes. The pump worked as advertised with very strong suction and pumping. I was very happy with it. Maybe I didn't use it for its intended purpose as I used it for a water change. Perhaps the constant movement has weakened something. I put my hand in the bucket and was shocked. Good thing I just slipped on the surface of the water. Well, next time buy a big brand name or install it and forget it. i will throw it away Overall this is a good product as long as you don't leave it in place.
