This is a fairly simple foldable plastic step stool. When folded, it is thin and compact and can easily be hidden behind a door or similar. When unfolding, make sure the sides are in the notch and the top snaps flat - this is a bit tricky. To fold it back, there is a small lever that unlocks the top. I wish it had a better/more secure latch to attach to the sides. My main complaint is that it feels a little flimsy. I weigh about 140 pounds and the upper definitely flexes a bit when I stand on it. If you're closer to the 250-pound max, I'd be very careful about distributing the weight evenly. in closets.
