Ideal for keeping vegetables fresh. I originally tried it for a salad and found it worked very well. This kept my salad fresh and crisp for 2, maybe even 3 weeks. My salad bowl works just as well but takes up too much space in the fridge which is the real benefit of this item. The rectangular shape allows you to keep it in the fridge with other things without taking up too much space. However, I found it too small for a full head of lettuce, so I ordered it larger (LKS-06). and it's perfect and now I can use it for carrot and other vegetable snacks. The reason I gave one star is because after 5 weeks the bottom cover had a crack which I have attached a photo of. It's small now, but I suspect it will grow. And even at its current size, it's still leaking, so I have to put a paper city under it. Both the larger (LKS-06) and smaller (LKS-08) have grooves on each side of the bottom cover which I think should avoid this problem.
