Brought a flat SanDisk 16GB Ultra Fit USB 3.1 flash drive 3 months ago. The flash drive case connector is made entirely of plastic, not metal. The USB drive heats up when plugged in, as I expected. But over time, when inserting and removing the flash drive from the USB port, the plastic connector of the case weakens, and a piece of plastic breaks off by itself. Sandisk has a 5 year warranty but does not cover it when stating that "physical damage due to mishandling will be considered". I believe this product has a design flaw. I advise against buying this product, especially the USB connector body is all plastic. If possible, purchase an all-metal body connector.
