This does not work. I installed this and my engine was idling when I noticed the temp sensor was tethered. I can't believe how bad this is. I almost wrecked my motor when I thought since I had just replaced the impeller with a spring like I always do I was golden. To my shock, my engine temp gauge was tethered, I wasn't sure how hot it was, but it was well above the 240 the gauge was showing. the impeller and the outer edge of the pump, which are normally flush so that a seal is provided. When I connected it to the hose it acted on the pressure in the hose but not enough sealing to pull water out of the lake into the motor against gravity. What the hell can't you buy. I wish I had bought a new one sooner so I could return it. I installed the impeller and checked my boat on the hose with the ears, everything is fine before I go. I threw the boat in the water and started it. It worked for a while while charging and parking. Just as I was about to shake off, I noticed that the engine was hot, very hot, and the gauge was tethered. I took it home, put it on the tube and didn't know why, so we took it back to the lake and the temp was right. fuse. That's when I opened it up and realized it was a piece of crap. What's really bad is that you can explode your whole engine because of this piece of crap. I would like my money back but it took too long. DON'T BUY THIS CAREFULLY!
