New impeller used by Volvo Penta, OMC, Johnson F5B pumps, Onan, Perkin, Yanmar, Jabsco and others. Width 1-1/4" (31.5mm) . Diameter 2-1/4" (57mm) . 5/8 shaft 12 spline. Includes O-rings and gaskets to fit mulitple applications. Recommended to replace annually. Install with dish soap. If purchasing for Volvo Penta or OMC it only fits pumps with short screws prior to 2005. Please see picture. Smaller than Volvo Penta

Unfortunately this wheel kit, at least the one I received, is not the same size as the OEM wheel. I installed this impeller on my 1996 Volvo Penta SX 5.7GL and immediately found that it was not efficient enough to pull water out of the output shaft to cool the engine and risers. The impeller is 0.050" smaller than the OEM, which I believe is the reason it cannot fill water properly and pump water efficiently.

Almost identical to Volvo Genuine Part

I wasn't sure about the quality of the universal impeller compared to the original, so I ordered one of each to compare. One of the weird things about it is that you can see how small the box it comes in is. For this reason, the seals are almost simply inserted into the box. On my Volvo Penta 4.3 gxi this wasn't a problem as I only had to use one of the O-rings. Based on the photos, everything is the same as genuine Volvo parts, except the Volvo comes with glycerin for fitment while the generic

Danger! My boat engine was idling, I noticed the temp gauge was tethered after charging.

This does not work. I installed this and my engine was idling when I noticed the temp sensor was tethered. I can't believe how bad this is. I almost wrecked my motor when I thought since I had just replaced the impeller with a spring like I always do I was golden. To my shock, my engine temp gauge was tethered, I wasn't sure how hot it was, but it was well above the 240 the gauge was showing. the impeller and the outer edge of the pump, which are normally flush so that a seal is provided.
