I wasn't sure about the quality of the universal impeller compared to the original, so I ordered one of each to compare. One of the weird things about it is that you can see how small the box it comes in is. For this reason, the seals are almost simply inserted into the box. On my Volvo Penta 4.3 gxi this wasn't a problem as I only had to use one of the O-rings. Based on the photos, everything is the same as genuine Volvo parts, except the Volvo comes with glycerin for fitment while the generic does not. You can also see in the photos that the Volvo part has a small notch at the top and bottom of the impeller which is not generic. The material on all seems to be comparable to the gasket material on the station wagon, in fact the docking is of better quality but almost the same. All in all I would save money and go for this one in the future. Took the boat out today for testing. If there are any problems, I will update this review, otherwise I can highly recommend this impeller.
