We purchased wall mounted outdoor heaters for our patio without a switch which had to be plugged into sockets on the ceiling of our patio cover. It was a hassle pulling the bar stool to get up to plug it in every time we needed it, so we just didn't use it most of the time. Once we tried a remote plug, we used an extra one from our outdoor Christmas decorations and it immediately blew up as the amps of these heaters are quite high. After gathering outdoors on a rainy, unseasonably cool May evening when we were actually using the heaters, I decided I'd had enough, researched and purchased these remote sockets. You are perfect! Now we can leave our heaters on all the time and turn them on and off without leaving home!
