Works well even for cats that poop and run
My cat likes litter boxes with high sides (he digs) and when he's done he jumps out of his box and leaves the place as fast as he can. This used to create a lot of litter around the house because my cat didn't stay on the mats long enough to catch the litter from his paws. However, this mat catches a surprising amount of dirt the first time you jump out of the box and greatly reduces the spread of dirt outside of its area. I am impressed.
