My physical therapist introduced me to a paraffin bath for a thumb injury. This is a good size for a hand bath and I use it several times a week before a workout. Some reviewers point out that the temperature is too high. I thought mine was ok. Then my father tried and yanked his hand away screaming that it was on fire and too hot. Temperature seems to be an individual preference. I've noticed that if I wait about half an hour after the green light comes on, the temperature seems cooler. If you like it hot, use it as soon as the green light comes on, otherwise be patient.
