Because I loved my first pair of Red Sands so much I bought another 3 years later to keep as a backup in my car. My first pair still look like new, no scratches, they are in excellent condition. The plastic feels light, but make no mistake, these are sturdy frames. They're flexible, which is one of the reasons they hold up so well. I also like the blue Hawaiian lens. I really like the old Maui Jim suitcases much better and the new folding suitcase is disappointing. These shades deserve better. I have a huge dome and the red sand glasses are the best fitting glasses I have ever had - THE BEST. Since they're in the main wardrobe, you can try them on and send them back if you don't like them. I can highly recommend these glasses.
