I have always tried to avoid buying the Luxottica brand. So I had 2 pairs of Warby Parkers and this is my first Maui Jim. The sunglasses are really well made. The frame seems solid. And the lenses are polarized. The pads have a rubber layer and the inside of the cleats also have a tread to prevent easy slipping. It also suits my big face well. I like it! I haven't dropped the glasses so I can't comment on the durability of the lenses, although other reviews mention that they can get scratched.

Because I loved my first pair of Red Sands so much I bought another 3 years later to keep as a backup in my car. My first pair still look like new, no scratches, they are in excellent condition. These glasses are perfect for a giant head (size 8 means XXXXL). As a result, they don't look as good on a small head. Makes people look like kids wearing their parents' sunglasses.
