The thing works fast. I use it mostly on my computers with USB 3.2 ports (USB 3.1 Gen 2) and get consistent read and write speeds of 950-1050MB/s. It's not the lightest or smallest external SSD, but it feels very solid, durable, and well built. The thick aluminum body really does its job as a heatsink. I've never had this thing get warm even when I'm transferring lots of small and large files. Slightly warm, yes, but never remotely uncomfortable. I've only had it for about 2 weeks but I'm still in love with this thing. Time will tell if it holds up in the long run, but so far so good and I highly recommend it.
