Good equipment to test a lot more than if your sensor was clean. The plastic construction probably keeps the price down, so I can't fault it. The magnification is fit for purpose and adjustable so you can change the focus. LED indicators help to identify dirt on the sensor. I used it to clean 2 cameras, sensors and mirrors. I am sure that I cleaned all dust particles from the sensors and that there were no scratches or marks on them in the end. After I was done with the camera, I cleaned up the lenses and filters for the trip I'm planning this week. After cleaning a lens I decided on a whim to look at the back glass to make sure it was clean and using the LED lights I found a few dust particles that I had missed but what What surprised me the most when I looked at it was the UV filter on the front. Not only did I find some dust under the filter, but I also found a scratch on the filter that I couldn't see with the naked eye when cleaning it. I'm glad I used this magnifying glass to check my work. While that 4mm square scratch may not have been the cause of the poor image, I'm glad I found it.
