Review on Bose QC15 / QC2 Replacement Ear Pads and Headband Cushions (Black) by Steven Asthana

My QC 15 has been sitting still for over a year as both the ear pads and headband are badly worn. I ordered this replacement kit, watched the video on youtube and replaced everything in minutes. I think it took me longer to watch the real youtube videos than the actual replacement. Don't skip the videos though as they have great instructions and tips on how to do the exchange correctly. The kit also includes two sets of replacement ear tips. One pair looks like the original black liners I had in the QC15 and the other pair is a blue pair with "L" and "R" printed on them. I chose the last pair because the only other indication that the L and R headphones are on the headset itself is printed in very small letters. The comfort on the interchangeable cushions and headband is excellent and very similar to the original feel. The only tools I used from the kit were a small screwdriver and the included paper clip to make the loop around the zipper easier. When cutting off the old bandage, be sure to follow the video instructions and cut off the old bandage sideways. In a hurry and before watching the video, I cut out the center on top of the strip myself. Luckily I didn't cut the wire that is under the center of the headband. Again, take just a few minutes to watch each video and you'll have no problem removing the old ear pads and headband and putting on the new ones.
