The version I received (February 2021) should be an updated version. It has a small inner lip all the way around that keeps the mounts and filters in place. Put brackets with filter(s) under that little "ridge" and it will block those air leaks that others have complained about. The other seal is around the nose and mouth, effectively and conveniently blocking air. Regular KN95 masks fit very comfortably over this if you want to make a double mask, or filters can be cut from them and glued in place. If like me you already have a bunch of KN95, you can cut 2 filters out of each mask. After a year of using various MacGyver masks (even installing a CPAP mask), I think I've finally found my holy grail of masks. They have everything: light, comfortable, economical, washable, efficient, they don't look bad. I can't talk about longevity yet; the time will show. I will order at least one more for insurance. I see other sellers offering lower prices for what appears to be the same item. However, they do not claim or show in photos that their masks have that important inner "lip." I will only buy this special one. Note: My only concern is that the 2 plastic clasps each have 4 "protrusions" which I was concerned might eventually pierce the inner lip and cause it to tear. I don't know if they have any purpose or if they can just be polished without consequences. Just to be on the safe side, I applied a dremel to them. So far, so good.
