I first looked at Newegg for a 24" monitor at a very reasonable price. At first I wanted HP H-IPS but I can't afford the price! I've seen others like Asus and Acers but the reviews for all were up in between. I noticed that this one was an inch smaller, but it was also 1080p, so thought I'd give it a try since it was the cheapest. Pros: It's big! I've seen monitors this big before, and though I've... Could have just bought a 24" monitor, this one is just great! For a TN panel the colors are nice and I don't notice any weird anti-aliasing or any artifacts that some people experience on other monitors. It works great for one large monitor (Go Photoshop!) as well as for gaming! I hooked it up to my PS3 and my friend took it straight away! The picture controls are easy to adjust and I love how clear the OSD menu is and lists everything, instead of a series of symbols where you have to figure out how to set everything. Seriously, no dead pixels! I thought there was one but it turned out to be a speck of dust and I just wiped it off with the provided screen cloth! haha! Graceful! Cons: Okay, now for the worse. The first thing that struck me was the terrible viewing angle. I have to look at him directly or everything will go dark. and the picture looks terrible. The only time it bothers me is when I'm lying down a bit and I'm lower than the viewing angle. I wish this monitor could be tilted down a few degrees. Another thing that might bother some people is the intense backlight. You won't notice it if you only use a desktop monitor or even play some games. Watching movies can bother you. It's very noticeable in dark scenes, but otherwise I don't worry about it all the time in my life. After all, it was in my budget and it works well. So.
