I bought two of these speakers to build my own gaming electronic dialer similar to the FoxPro units available in stores. I am very satisfied with the result. PROS: - The output is VERY loud if you are delivering the right power from the amp. - These speakers are made of coated metal and look very weather resistant. - The speaker comes pre-wired with a plus and a minus cable (about 12 inches), making it easy to hook up for most small projects. The mounting bracket is also very solid and the angle of the speaker in the bracket is adjustable. CONS: - If you're trying to build something for music playback this might not be the best option. These speakers don't seem designed for music playback as I don't think they have a very full audio range. They reproduce speech and animal sounds with no problems, but the music sounds a bit flat. - Being metal, they are a bit heavy, but not so heavy that they cause problems. GENERAL INFO: - Very good quality, especially for the price. - Would recommend any speaker type project type.
