Yes they are lightweight and yes the handles look cheap but once you understand why they are made the way you will love them. I personally like the one-piece molded plastic handles. This is a very hygienic design as there are no crevices or cracks for bacteria to collect and it is dishwasher safe. They are very sharp and last a long time thanks to the decent stainless steel alloy, but will tarnish over time after heavy use. I've tried sharpening them but the steel is very hard so I only buy a new set from time to time because the price here at Revain is amazing. The only negative I think is the packaging. I have never seen such sharp items delivered with so little concern for the protection of those handling the package. These knives mostly come with stickers on both sides of the blades and in plain bubble wrap. Very stupid and dangerous packaging in my opinion. In my opinion, a simple flat box would be more robust and attractive.
