In the past, you had to roll the ball under your foot for a long time to get to the pressure points. It does them all at once and to a much better degree. Had to stand on it in socks for over 2 weeks, then for short barefoot stops, now I'm barefoot all the time. I love it! It's addictive and I think my body feels better about it and I want to keep going. I dig it when I'm watching TV or checking email, playing games on my phone. Has helped me with leg pain which I believe is largely due to painful pressure points that I have never been able to adequately relieve before.
