Review on Logitech Backlit Mechanical Keyboard Passthrough by Wiktor Fokt ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overall good, but I expected more, there are disadvantages.

Purchased around a year ago in Pleer. The keyboard was fantastic, by the way. The auditory and tactile experiences are quite pleasurable. Outstanding raw stuff. The appearance has not changed at all after 2 years of use. The lighting still works, and all of the keys are undamaged. However, everything was ruined by the ubiquitous jargon (double-clicks, no printing). Checking any typos in each sentence was a major burden while grading this review because I use touch typing. An agent from technical support responded nicely, "Since the warranty has expired, you may wish to contact the seller about obtaining a replacement keyboard." Truly, it's hilarious:) Since I've never had any issues with any Logitech peripherals prior to their outright destruction, I didn't bother reading the reviews before making my purchase. It was an undeniable fact that gadgets in this price range ought to be superior. But no. Because of this, I will have to go with a another supplier. Now that I've read the reviews, I know this is a major issue that hasn't been addressed by the manufacturer, and yet the product is still being offered in its current form. That's too bad. Unfortunately, I cannot advocate purchasing.

Pros
  • Fantastic layout. Compactness. The high standard of production. Acceptable program for controlling lighting and tasks.
Cons
  • Inability to print or double/triple phantom clicks became a problem as soon as the warranty expired. It's not a deal breaker for video games (except that the left button has a response time that's around five times slower than the right), but it makes things incredibly difficult. Always double check the printed material for accuracy. More complicated buttons as distance increases. Taking off the covers and blowing on them with compressed air did not work. Even if the backlight is not RGB, the wire is still thick and has two ends.
