Bought for a headset with a 3.5mm jack microphone. At first the sound worked but the microphone didn't. Contacted the manufacturer and after several email exchanges they finally agreed and sent a replacement. After replacing the device, the microphone and headset worked. But only for a month. Now only audio works and the microphone doesn't even register as connected to the computer. The cable stays connected to the computer and only connects/disconnects at the end of the headset, so a very low stress/strain installation. The headset mic works well when plugged directly into a computer, so it's not a headset. It looks like the wire is either separating internally or is too thin to support a longer cable length. I like the soft braided cord and it has an angled plug, but it's just unreliable. Avoid.
