I'm writing this review because 1. I really like this cage and 2. I'm sick of people leaving bad reviews about it because they lack the common sense to say it for a Djungarian hamster no medium or large size. This cage is perfect for a single dwarf hamster, although I haven't personally used the equipment provided I was able to add my own 7 inch wheel (the big one doesn't fit, I barely got it in). my own little water bottle. Self water bottle, food plate, 1 house, 2 beds and 2 chew toys. I like that the bottom is good for nesting and digging while the top is good for eating and playing. The cage is solid, my side latches are very secure and it took me some effort to get them to click, the top door is also very secure, I really wish it was a bit looser, I could put a metal ring on it to do that i You don't have to complete it completely. I like the idea of the tube entry on the side, I could get a second cage and add it for more fun. It also has a small cage, making it the perfect cage for the Djungarian hamster. I emphasize this because it would be cruel for any hamster that isn't a dwarf to live here. Each cage was made for a small hamster, a small wheel, a small house, a small water bottle, a small distance between the bars. It was a big cage for little hamsters, not meant for Teddy or the Syrians at all. The largest wheel that will fit is 7 inches (just under), your hamster's back should be flat when walking, if his back is arched the wheels are too small. This is the perfect cage for solo dwarf robots, or a good cage for winter whites. Please do not buy this cage for hamster other than a dwarf hamster, it will be too small. This was a special cage for dwarfs so the bars have little spacing, you can find many larger and cheaper cages designed for larger hamsters.
