Review on Novamind by Ray Richards

I love the idea behind Novamind, but I'm finding that the tool itself is pretty clunky. For starters, I was able to create a new account within 2 minutes, but it took me 10 minutes to upload the first image, and another 15 minutes to add text. Once I had uploaded the first image, I could see a few other people who had already created accounts. But the fact that I couldn't use my existing Google Drive account means that I can't share my creations. It's hard to get around this, because if you click "Share" under a shared document, it won't open up a dialog box asking you to log in to your Google Account. If you try to login from inside the application, you're given an error message. So if you want to share a map, you'll have to export it as an.png file, save it to your Google drive, and then share that instead. This is really annoying. The interface also looks dated, especially since there aren't any graphics in the app. The icons are big and blocky, and everything looks flat and boring.
