First of all I would like to say that I have never owned a leather/motorcycle or any other type of leather jacket. I didn't care about the smell, I'm not a member (but I knew many) of the club. And the usual cost of $350 and up isn't for me. I don't wear a jacket here in California, but maybe 3-4 times a year. I just don't feel cold. So now I'm of a certain age, I have a big bike, I tend to think 'what ifs'. It's a powerful bike, I ride fast, 'what if I fall'? With my flannel shirts (I mostly wear them as a jacket) there is no protection, only a thin layer of cotton between the bleeding flesh and the asphalt. Although black is not the color I need to drive. I want to be seen I liked everything else that was advertised, it has padding or armor, it has a removable liner, natural leather (not for show) but because it's a better road rash barrier than cotton. 1 review said it was hard. YES. The. And while I was wondering about the size, I'm 6ft 3" and 205lbs, I don't have the 46" chest that I'm used to. But my arms are still long and my waist is no bigger than the inseam. It fits better than any other size. The arms are long enough, the chest is roomy with the desired mobility. The waist isn't tailored, I think I'd like the extra room there to grow anyway. Seems short for my size like most jackets. The main thing is that I put it on and don't feel as vulnerable on the street as I used to. That alone is worth a lot more than that price. But let's talk about it. I have never seen a leather jacket cheaper than 3 times as much. And although I haven't tried it yet, I did test it on the road. I'm sure I'm much better off with this than anything else I could buy for three times the price. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a riding jacket. When I was younger and going to a club, I might want a longer, lighter leather jacket, even a rag. On a motorcycle I'm happy with that. I may check later to update, but for now this is a buy review (while you can at this price point).
