USB worked (sort of) but playback sucked, stalled and sound quality was poor

The moment I plugged it in I should have known it was the weight of the paper was. It also doesn't work with a DVD drive. The USB worked (sort of) but the playback sucked, kept stopping and the sound quality was poor. I would like to return it but it costs me more than what I paid for it.
