Works like clockwork
I can't compare this to an official Canon lens hood as I won't spend $55 on a piece of plastic. This hood works great and saved me $38. It screws and snaps on easily and can be flipped so I can put it on the lens upside down and use it next time. There's just one trick you need to know: this lens hood isn't quite like the others I've used. . I believe they copied the Canon design from the photos I saw. It snaps into place because it has a small tab on the side at the bottom of the hood. Make sure you put some pressure on it before trying
