Inexpensive accessory

Not as well made as a genuine Canon part, but who can complain about the price? Works exactly as it should on the lens it was designed for.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Retrofittable

Excellent value for money Lens accessories

The lens hood locks in well in both positions and the shutter button, similar to the one that comes with the lens hood on my Canon 100-400L lens, is a nice feature. The price is great and given the 'limited' availability of the Canon lens hood listed for the same lens I would highly recommend this product.

  • Beautiful

Did not fit Accessory

I have ordered a Canon 70-300mm lens for my lens to replace it. It's too big, it doesn't even touch the threads on the lens. I go back and try again but after I finish the 2nd time I pay a little more and get the Canon original. Very disappointing.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Negative impression

The product fits the lens perfectly. The quality is just average or below. Very disappointed that they sent the product in the original packaging but put it in an envelope for shipping. The product packaging looked like a bunch of dogs had fought over it. Whether it was new goods could actually be seen from previously discovered goods.

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • Very expensive

Less than half the cost of Canon!

There is an old saying in advertising that advertising can be done quickly, well or cheaply. choose two In the case of the JC hood, it's good and cheap. Don't buy it if you are in a hurry. It comes from China. But if you don't mind waiting to save over $30, then go for it. It fits perfectly with the new Canon EF 70-200 IS II and is advertised as double-sided. I recommend it!

Pros
  • also understandable for old people
Cons
  • A few little things

Just as good as the original Canon lens hood at a much better price!

I am very disappointed with the pricing of Canon's lens hood. For the EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM, a genuine Canon lens hood costs $44. It's a piece of plastic that might cost a few dollars to make and doesn't have a lot of engineering behind it. So I was happy to see that a third party product replaced the ET-74B hood. I don't have a direct comparison with the original Canon lens hood for this lens, but it seems to me that the quality is the same as other original Canon lens hoods. I own. It

Essentially indistinguishable from a Canon lens hood, but cheaper.

The markup on Canon lens hoods is crazy. The only difference I see between this lens hood and the Canon lens hoods that came with my L-series lenses is that most (but not all) Canon lens hoods have flocking on the inside of the lens hood, to control reflections. It has a polka dot interior that does the job well. If you think it matters, you can spend $5 on a can of black spray at a craft store and still spend less than half what Canon overcharges for a piece of plastic.

Works like clockwork

I can't compare this to an official Canon lens hood as I won't spend $55 on a piece of plastic. This hood works great and saved me $38. It screws and snaps on easily and can be flipped so I can put it on the lens upside down and use it next time. There's just one trick you need to know: this lens hood isn't quite like the others I've used. . I believe they copied the Canon design from the photos I saw. It snaps into place because it has a small tab on the side at the bottom of the hood. Make…
