This water bottle snaps into anything that's a little heavy, but it's still a nice feature when camping. You're supposed to be able to just slide the locking mechanism down with your thumb, but mine gets stuck sometimes, so I have to use my fingernail. I chose this particular model because it fits my heated bottle. The finish on this one is rougher which makes it easier for me to hold on without slipping off. I tested its thermal properties by filling it with nothing but ice. After 24 hours most of the ice was still intact and only 1/3 cup of the liquid had melted. There is no air hole in the lid, so the water flows out very slowly with a lot of splashing. You also don't get as much liquid as you think because this filter/teapot is quite long. You can remove the entire spout section, but then it is no longer leak proof.
