I bought these to use under a mat to provide some cushion when my 7 month old falls. As expected, they work well under a rug attached to a sofa; However, they are VERY slippery under our freestanding mat! Had to buy duct tape to keep them in place. I was expecting them to have some grip on the floor like other similar products. Ultimately, however, they serve their purpose. Be careful, they are very slippery on wooden planks.
